Nomination Privacy Notice

This notice explains how the Agatha Obiageli Aghedo Memorial Foundation (AOAMF) and Special People Special Stories Africa (SPSSA) collect and use information submitted through the Nigeria Disability Inclusion and Inclusive Practices Awards (NDIIPA) 2026 nomination form.

Who is responsible for your information

NDIIPA 2026 is an initiative of AOAMF and SPSSA. Together we decide how nomination information is used. You can contact us at spssa@aoamf.org or +234 802 308 2528.

What we collect

  • About the nominee: name or organisation name, nominee type, email address, telephone number (optional), state and location, position or affiliation (optional), and website or social media page (optional).
  • About you, the nominator: your name, email address, telephone number (optional), your relationship with the nominee and how long you have known them (optional).
  • The nomination: the award category, your answers about the nominee’s work and impact, supporting links, and whether the work can be independently verified.
  • Your declaration: that you accepted the declaration and this notice, the version of the declaration, and the date and time you submitted.

Please do not include confidential information, health details or other sensitive personal information about anyone unless it is necessary and you have their permission.

How we use it

  • To screen and assess nominations against the published award criteria.
  • To contact nominees and nominators about the nomination, including verification and shortlisting.
  • To send you an acknowledgement with your nomination reference number.
  • To run the awards, including preparing the approved shortlist for public voting and the ceremony.

We use this information because you have chosen to submit a nomination and agreed to this notice, and because we have a legitimate interest in running fair and well-verified awards. We handle personal information in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

Who can see it

Nominations are stored securely and can only be accessed by authorised members of the NDIIPA screening and judging team. We do not sell personal information. We do not publish nominees’ personal contact details or supporting materials.

If a nominee is shortlisted, we may publish their name, organisation, state, award category and a short description of their work on the voting page and in awards publicity. We will contact shortlisted candidates before this happens.

How long we keep it

We keep nomination records for up to two years after the NDIIPA 2026 awards ceremony so we can answer questions and keep a record of the awards. After that, we delete them or keep only anonymous summary information.

How we protect it

The form is sent over a secure (HTTPS) connection. Nomination records are kept in a protected system that only authorised staff can access with a password, and changes to records are logged.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it or stop using it. Nominees can also ask to withdraw from consideration. To do any of these, email spssa@aoamf.org and include your nomination reference number if you have one. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
